You may think that just reading a card of some sort that says “You got it Girl!” are just words that aren’t specific to your unique beautifully flawed being, or that focusing on one thing to make it true maybe too good to be true, but there’s way more than that.
Positive Affirmations are certain sentences that you repeat to yourself in order to modify your mindset into more a positive state and provide self-empowerment. Usually the sentences will be in the form of first person, where repetition is essential to “speak into existence”. To remind yourself to repeat the affirmations as much as possible, you can create post-it notes, keep a journal, or even put it as your screensaver. I personally have a wall of post-it notes with positive affirmations/advice as well as a prayer that I say to myself every morning. I even have my favorite one that I got from a fortune cookie that says, ” You are ready to take on the world.” Fortune cookie or not, that recharges my will to be great every time!
The Law of Attraction is a theory that what ever you focus on will come to you; whether that be wanting more money or hoping that your loan interest doesn’t get higher. You want to make sure that you can re-appraise certain situations or even scenarios that play out in your head to make them positive. In that way, you are able to get an abundance of all positive things coming your way. For example, I was stressing over someone driving me home for Thanksgiving so I didn’t have to pay for a bus ticket and low and behold, my brother is driving 4 hours to come take me home! Hooray!
In a nutshell, you want to do a combination of both things so that you may truly change your mindset from a negative to a positive one. It may be a little hard to train your brain to not be so prone to such negative thoughts (I still struggle with this some of the time) in time it will be definitely worth it. Keep positive thoughts always and have a great day and/or night!
